4 days till Blast off!
Hello Everyone! I can’t believe it but I have only 4 more days until I leave for Korea. WAHH????!!! I can’t believe it at all! it is crazy to be. I have had an amazing time at the MTC and will always remember and cherish the memories and what I have learned here. It could not have been better. I am ready for Korea and I am excited to go!
Of course the classic riding missionaries.
I want to go to the Fish Kingdom too
Well, I decided that I wanted to go to the Fish Kingdom instead of the Celestial Kingdom. We can’t have a week without another funny. Sometimes the sounds sound way too similar and that is why I get them mixed up. Wooh!
Don’t worry. I just have 11 more days left until I leave for Korea. I got it. Hahah.
Well, since I didn’t get to tell you last time what my role is as a Sister Training Leader I will tell you now. Well, I get to interview the Sisters, I am in District Counsel, we get to welcome in the natives, and give them orientation. We get to give orientation to any new members. I am the eyes and ears of the Branch Presidency so I report back what they say to everyone else, along with the two zone leaders and the other sister training leader. It is wonderful! It has really made me a better person. We keep tabs on the sisters, and we get to help and guide them, if needed.
Speaking of Natives…. We got our District’s natives this week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are ours! What?!??!?! I can’t believe it. They are soooo cute! I love them already.
I have learned a lot this week. I just can’t believe that it is almost time to go to Korea. Where did the time go???
Thank you everyone for sending me Letters, emails, and Dear Elders. They are just the greatest!
Well, this week really reiterated the importance of keeping a foundation of faith on the Book of Mormon. We cannot be touched by the devil if we do.
Some other things are from devos…When everything says you can’t, believe in the part of you that says you can. It’s not who you aren’t, it is who you are and being yourself is being great!
These are awesome! We put these quotes on our chalkboard so we can keep these in mind.
We had a really great tuesday devo. Brother W. Craig Zwick from the Seventy came. He and his wife were awesome! His wife spoke of patience and said that patience is a process of perfection. Brother Zwick spoke about salvation. He gave us these questions to think about: 1. What does “hasten the work of salvation” meant to you? 2. How does your understanding of teh “work of salvation” help those you will teach? Think about these questions. But think about them in a sense of your friends, co-workers, neighbors, etc. Who can you teach? How can you apply these questions into your life to better understand the importance of sharing the gospel? Salvation is first for us, then for our families. It is about bringing families back to the Celestial Kingdom. Satan, right now, is attacking families fiercely. We got to fight back and make sure that the family unit is the most important thing in people’s lives.
We went to the temple today. It was soooo wonderful! It is amazing everytime! It is such a sacred place and the spirit is soooooo strong. While I was participating in the endowment, I was feeling the spirit so strongly. I just know with all my heart that this gospel is true. We, as missionaries, have such a sacred calling to do this. We can change people’s lives. We can help them return to our Heavenly Father. I could not be doing anything else then being on a mission. It is seriously the greatest! I am so happy. I love the gospel and I cannot stress to you all enough how important it is to share it and to live it. We are blessed beyond anything we could imagine.
I am so grateful for my family, and my friends. You all make life so much better. Remember the Lord is always with you. He loves you dearly and wants you to return to him. Not one sheep does he want lost, we just have to go find them for him.
Well, unfortunately I have to go! Hopefully, I can write longer next time!!!!
LOVE YOU ALL TONS!!!!!!!!
Love, Sister Orme
